7-Day Sweet and-Sour Slaw
This slaw is so simple and quick to make. Cool, crisp, and tart it is sure to become your go-to side dish for your next outdoor grilling.

Ingredients
  • 1 large head green cabbage shredded
  • 2 medium red onion chopped
  • 1 large green bell pepper chopped
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup white vinegar or cider vinegar
  • cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground mustard
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
Instructions
  1. In large bowl, place cabbage, bell pepper, and onions. Pour sugar over vegetables, but do
  2. not mix.
  3. Place oil, vinegar, salt, ground mustard, and celery seed in a medium sized sauce
  4. pan. Heat mixture until warm. Do not boil.
  5. Pour vinegar and oil mixture over cabbage mixture. Mix well.
  6. Cover; refrigerate at least 3 hours, stirring several times, until chilled and flavors are
  7. blended. Stir before serving; serve with slotted spoon.
